Well,
Jim sent you the facts, I'll add some details and feelings. This
is leaving Portland. |
|
We arrive in Tel Aviv about 4:37 in the afternoon, after a sleepless 12 hour flight. Interesting to see all the different nationalities on the plane. |

There
were many Israelis, and when the plane touched down, they all burst
into thunderous applause and yelling, "Shalom". We
arrived on the Jewish Shabbot (Sabbath). I looked over and
there were tears streaming down Jim's face. The next picture I took
just after that. It doesn't really capture the emotion felt. |

Those eyes
were REALLY red. |

Tel
Aviv Airport. We were surprised and delighted that we were not questioned
or stopped
at
all. We merely walked out to our host, as we would at home. |

I
hope, I hope it's all here. |

Here's
Jim mailing you last night. We're about to go to breakfast and take a walk to the Temple Mount. Our tour bus will pick us up around 10:00am and today we will tour Jerusalem outside the Old City Walls and tomorrow, the inside. |
As
you know, it has always been a dream of Jim's to come to Jerusalem.
Sometimes God goes to great lengths to let us know how much he loves us.
Happy Birthday, Jim. |
