Hello,

We're back in Jerusalem tonight, so we can get caught up.  In Tiberias we had to pay for internet service and it was REALLY slow and would cut out every few minutes, which made Jim grumpy.  Imagine that.

Day 12 was one of our favorite days by the Sea of Galilee.  First we went to the Mount of the Beatitudes, which, of course, included a church over the spot.  But the best part was when Jim read the Sermon on the Mount to us all.

As you can imagine I have many more pictures of this Mount.

Next was Capernum, which was Jesus' headquarters during his ministry.  At the entrance was an elderly couple playing "Bach" in duet.  It was wonderful.  Iwanted to camp out all day and listen to them.  In the courtyard was a pool and some baby birds under the eaves.

These remains, of all that we have seen are authenticated to be the home of Peter's mother-in-law.  The last picture is of an archeological dig near the house.

Landscape back to the Sea of Galilee for a boat ride.

This is an older boat.  Our boat was a little bit bigger and newer.  The remains of a boat from 2,000 years ago was found and is on display in a museum, but it was closed the day we were there.  Esther May Hinshaw and Ellanita Bales are in the middle picture they are from Newberg.  Ellanita is 85 years old and can run circles around all of us.  The third picture shows the gap between to mountains that was the trade route from the Sea of Galilee to the Mediteranean Sea.

We had such a good time on the boat.  We sang, "It Is Well With My Soul", Jim's favorite song and lots of others. We actually make a pretty good choir. The middle picture shows a man casting a net into the sea.  You can barely see it against the clouds.  Nothing was in the net on this side, so he threw it over the other side and we were expecting more than the net could hold, but we were disappointed. I guess those things just happen once.

Hope all is well.  Much love,

Jim and Jeanne, Mom and Dad, Mim and  Papa

P.S. WE MISS OUR FAMILY!!!!!!
